Essential oils are valuable gifts of nature, and many of them are simply great for natural anti-aging cosmetics. They contain many antioxidants, and this is the secret weapon against aging skin. Essential oils in combination with natural base oils or natural base creams also make sure that no hidden chemicals are applied to the skin and that no animal experiments have been supported.

Skin care with plant power

Essential oils are the distillates of various medicinal and aromatic plants, which have not only proven themselves effective for centuries in herbal medicine, but are also well researched in modern aromatherapy. Their beneficial effect always refers to body and psyche, because the scents have a direct effect on the limbic part of our brain. Depending on the oil, there are relaxing, encouraging, strengthening, calming or clarifying emotions released. On a physical level they unfold health-promoting effects in various areas. And their valuable herbal ingredients are valuable anti-aging substances.

Antioxidants against skin aging

Essential oils have a high antioxidant content and can thus protect the skin from the effects of free radicals. These are the main causes of aging and wrinkling. When free radicals gain the upper hand, they trigger oxidative stress so that the body can no longer neutralise them sufficiently. This leads to damage to cell structures, the body’s own proteins and genetic material. The effect on the skin is visible: freshness and elasticity disappear, wrinkles develop and skin ageing is accelerated.
